Open-hearted Brazilian living in the tulips’ land.
Born in Brazil in 1986, I grew up in Sorocaba, in the countryside area of São Paulo state, moving to the city of São Paulo in 2004. Working in advertising since 2007, I got my university degree in Communications in 2010. In 2014, looking for a better work-life balance, I decided to try yoga and I found the most inspiring human being to guide me, Jozé Luiz Corradi, also known as Zé Yoga.
Stepping into that room, looking at that smiley teacher, little did I know that one hour and something of weird poses mingled with Sanskrit mantras was about to change my life. I walked out of that class feeling joyful, renewed, and lighthearted. I wanted more and, soon, I found out yoga was way deeper than only the physical movement.
My passion was growing alongside my practice and, moving to Amsterdam in 2016, was the perfect trigger to take the next step: leave advertising behind and dive completely into the world of yoga. So I took my chance: I completed a solid 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 and started teaching right away.
Time went by and, even though I was fulfilled and happy teaching, as I got more classes in my schedule, I started to often have pregnant and postpartum students in the room. This awakened my curiosity about how to safely teach them. It was then in 2021, amidst the pandemic, that I had the opportunity to follow Jennifer More through an amazing journey in the pre and postnatal yoga universe, having completed an 85-hour Prenatal and Postnatal Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training.
I now feel that I found my purpose: to teach accessible Vinyasa Yoga for all levels and all bodies, with special attention to guiding pregnant people safely so they can enjoy their journey through pregnancy and parenthood to the fullest.
The same passion that drove me to where I am now, is the one that I try to bring to each class, in every movement, in every breath, with careful attention for all students, whether in private or group classes, whether pure fresh or long-time practitioner. In the end, I hope that everyone leaves the class joyful, renewed, and lighthearted and that they get inspired to build a beautiful and honest relationship with themselves through yoga.

What people say
I feel like she knows my body and capabilities very well
“I moved alone to Amsterdam almost 2 years ago. In the beginning I was a bit lost - stressed about new job, a new environment. As I am person who doesn’t want to share the feeling with the others, I was looking for some classes where I can deal with all my fears. I wouldn’t imagine to find better yoga classes than this one with Selma. It is so hard to describe in words how I feel during the class and after it. It is something that once you have experienced, you want to come back again and again. She never pushes me to do something that I am not able to do at this moment. Moreover, I feel like she knows my body and capabilities very well. There are moments that I am not in 100% in the practise, then she assists me and helps to focus on being in the present.
What I appreciate the most – she always makes sure to pay attention to all her participants.”

Anyone would be lucky to have her as a yoga teacher
“I love Selma's class. Not too big, there is always an intimate energy in the room. Selma gives everyone the needed attention and starts and ends her classes with a meaningful story, quote, or a way to apply the practice to daily life. She always has a smile on her face and gives off positive energy to those around her. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a yoga teacher :)”

After her lessons I feel both my body and mind in harmony
“Selma's yoga lessons are always what I need after a long day of office work. She makes me feel very comfortable during the lessons, always encouraging me to respect my body but also making me feel confident to challenge myself. After her lessons I feel both my body and mind in harmony. Thank you so much, Selma!”
